Here’s what I’ve Learned about writing that can apply to you, your business or your brand.
Memorable words can resonate with your logical brain and your beating chest in the same split second.
They can stop the scroll, inspire the sale or earn trust. Sometimes they resonate with your rational side. Most times they hook your heart.
I’ve been on wellsites, curling rinks and cornfields for writing work. Been in boardrooms, warehouses and labs. I’ve written, edited or strategized for everyone from founders, farmers, fishing guides or finance wizards to brands, businesses and campaigns associated with non profit organizations to private equity powerhouses. The common thread woven through every industry is always the same.
Phrases, paragraphs or content of any kind that come across authentically and transparently are hard to forget. They’re memorable because of an underlying truth or a bit of absolute reality. Word count rarely matters, its the approach and storytelling that does. The best works feel infinitely true, void of the latest jargon, slang, marketing lingo or sales tricks schemed to make us convert. When we remember words, we trust them.
